You have been asking and I finally did it! I put together sketches on 8.5x11" pages for you to print out. Each page has 6 of the 12x12" sketches. Over here on the right column of my blog, you will find three links to the download the PDF printable sketches. One note... since I wanted to print them on heavy weight paper for my own use, I formatted them so that they can be printed front and back and the sketch numbers will be on the outside edge of the page. Of course, you don't have to print them that way. Hopefully I will get the 2 pagers done soon for you.

I have a fun sketch for you guys today. I had seen so many banner, circle, and heart pages so I kind of put them together in one. I have an example layout but I am saving it for a blog hop so you will see it soon. ;)
As promised, here is the layout that inspired the sketch. I had alot of fun using Echo Park's Yours Truly for this page. Check out my blog here for close ups and another page using this fun collection.

Since my layout isn't going to be posted yet, my good friend, Madeline, created a page as an example. I just love the way she did her banners and even the papers she used. I have a very fun sketch for you today. It has some cute element ideas and even a couple of cut files for those of you who have Sure Cuts Alot2. If you don't have that program, you can use the .jpg file below as a paper template. I also use the new DCWV "French Country" stack and a bit of brown tweed paper from Michaels' Recollections "Regent Street" stack by DCWV.

I actually created this layout and then made a sketch based on the page for you guys. I thought you might like to try the long banners. The papers are all from the gorgeous new Tradewinds Stack from DCWV (See it HERE) and I wish I could say that the lovely photo is mine, but it is a borrowed photo.

And for my friends who are asking for more layouts with one landscape and one portrait (you know who you are :), I am working on it. Those are tricky for me too. LOL! I know some of you love cut files and probably thought I had given them up but I just haven't felt inspired lately. Well I needed a good border for this page so I made this fleur border. I am giving you a link to the SCUT2 file as well as a .jpg image so you can use it with some of your die cutting machines.

It's a fun sketch,if I do say so myself :) Yes, you probably have seen the sketch because it is one of mine here at Sketch Savvy. Here is the page that I did when making the sketch originally. Do you ever have oversized photos from vacations, landscapes, or family group photos? I have alot of them so I made a sketch that just showcases those large photos with not too much embellishment. Of course it leaves room for you to embellish as much or as little as you like.

For my example I used a photo that is 5 x 8 1/2". For close ups and details, visit my blog HERE

For my example I used papers and embellishments by SEI. This is a layout that was in Scrapbook Trends last year so I had pulled it from my blog so I don't have a link for close ups. I just love these photos of tiny little Savvy. When he helps me now its not nearly as cute or productive.

New Sketch and New DCWV stack! I used the new All About Boys Stack for my example, don't you love the colors? my brother is pretty cute too. :) This is a super simple layout but you can add bits here and there in the blank spaces. I used a 4x6" photo but this sketch easily allows for a 5x7" photo in that spot.

Since I haven't posted new layouts in awhile, I have decided to make some sketches from some of my older layouts. I had a friend of mine pick a few that she would like to see and I will share them with you this week. Today's sketch has a fuzzy spot in the blank space - why not try a mist, splatter some paint, or use a masking technique?

A few people have requested layouts using bigger photos because it really is tough to use those 5x7 and 4x6 photos on the same page and still have room for a bit of embellishment. I decided a big shape thrown in would work with the big photo too. Think of shapes like a sunshine, flower, snowflake, christmas tree...

For my example I did crop my photos down a bit. They had wasted space in them and I wanted a really big snowflake to fit. :) My photos are 5x6" and 4x5" but the larger photos will fit just as well. For close ups of my page visit my blog HERE.

I cant believe we are already up to the 50th 12x12 sketch! I have been so busy lately that I asked my friend, Laurie Zeller, if she would create an example for this sketch. I am so happy that she said yes, because this is one SWEET layout! :) She used 2 smaller photos for the photo on the left, isn't it yummy? Hey, I know you guys check in to see the newest sketches, but have you taken time to go back thru the older sketches recently to see all of the layout examples that people have been sending in? WOW! If you haven't, you will love all of the different styles and interpretations. When time permits, I add photos, but sometimes I just add the link so everyone can find your page. Do you turn the sketches or flip them? do you use butterflies where there are circles? I would love to see more examples.

For my example I used Basic Grey Jovial collection and I flipped the sketch. This is a perfect sketch to use with scraps or when you just want to use alot of great patterned paper!

I asked my good friend Kristin Fougeron to try out this sketch too and I love her take using Basic Grey's Pyrus Collection.

This is just the most adorable page! Just look at Gus Gus! My friend Jeanne has the most beautiful kitty helper and I just love the embellishements she added to her version of this sketch. Jeanne also has fantastic free cut files on her blog. Visit Jeanne's blog HERE.

Sketch #46 and Hibiscus cut file

This is one of my favorite flowers. Just the one flower, the center and the leaf, but it adds that tropical touch. If you don't have a die cutting machine that will work, just print the shape on the back of your paper and cut by hand. The cut file for today is a very basic shape that is very useful. If you don't have a die cutting machine that will work, just print the shape on the back of your paper and cut by hand. As always, these are in no particular size so I thought I would show you several uses over the next week. My first sketch uses the square around 6" and the frame around 3".

I didn't add alot of embellishment to the sketch since space is limited and I thought you could add whatever you like. I added banners to my example because there were banners in my photos.

Today's cut file is a what I call a pompom border. I love this one, but I will tell you that cutting it from glittered paper requires a new blade and mat or the deep cut blade. Since I have had a couple of requests for 2 page sketches. I thought I would try a couple. These are kind of basic, but it's a start.
